I'm actively seeking full-time projects in Boston or remote

I'm a multi-disciplinary creative born in Dallas, TX. I've spent the last year honing my product design skills as an intern and team lead at Tech Fleet.
As a designer I enjoy connecting with users, creating maps to visualize strategy, tight collaboration, and working in sprints. I'm passionate about research, clear writing, and designing for inclusivity.

Hello again!

My end-to-end process

I'm a creative chimera who loves exploration through collaboration
I specialize in dismantling complex challenges and shaping them into simple and intuitive design solutions backed by qualitative research into the customer experience.
In my apprenticeships as a UX Designer and Researcher at Tech Fleet I continue to collaborate with developers, product managers, and other designers to build and ship empathetic digital experiences.
In addition to product design, I have a strong passion for language and UX writing. My grasp of rhetoric and experience writing grants & scholarships allows me to create smart content that communicates clearly to audiences across the world.
Iterative design process illustrated: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, Test.

My journey to product design

While teaching Russian to college students I found myself learning the basics of product management: communicating between advisors, prospective students and grant committees to make intensive language summer camps a reality while staying within budget.
I started learning about design and design tools to create attractive brochures and posters to advertize our language summer camp. I was also learning to be a better teacher; to make foreign concepts understandable different ways based on students' needs.
What kept me interested was the human aspect, interacting with students to learn their painpoints and celebrating their wins.

The product in my focus at the time was getting students to a working level of Russian in one month's time–a banner success 🎉
Shortly thereafter I found Designlab, learned the heuristics of visual design and started pursuing a bootcamp full-time to focus on my new passion: product design.
